Wallflower provided software, hardware and technical assistance to Shannon Novak & Matt Smith who exhibited at the 2012 Art In The Dark event in Auckland
Phonetic Apparition is a video-mapping work that projected a lattice of colours and geometric forms representing sound moving up from the earth through the roots of the tree, bringing it to life, giving it a voice. This video work puts forward the idea that sound is part of all that exists, and that we are all part of a sound network that connects us as one integrated entity. A Wallflower player drove 2 projectors, one portrait and one landscape displaying the work as a video with accompanying piano soundtrack.
